How to Search Cases by Name
Utah Courts Xchange searches public district and justice court data entered through CORIS. For a Millard County case lookup, pick District Court for felonies, class A misdemeanors, and general civil matters. Pick Justice Court for traffic, infractions, class B or C misdemeanors, and small claims. Choose both only when the jurisdiction is truly unknown.
- Open Xchange and choose its public or guest route.
- Select District Court, Justice Court, or both.
- Enter the last name or company name as filed, then the first name.
- Set Millard County, court location, case type, or a known date range.
- Compare court, location, filing date, party code, and name before opening history.
- Save the case number, court location, and search date for follow-up.
A wildcard like John* widens a name match. Names shorter than three characters do not need one, and a broad query should be narrowed because Xchange returns no more than 500 results.

| Date Range | Toggle/dates | No | Filing, disposition, or judgment dates |
Millard County Xchange Entry Point
The Utah Courts Xchange application presents Guest, Login, Get Started, and payment routes on its official page. Public searching belongs in the guest or authorized subscriber path, not in the filer's eFiling login.

Xchange requires JavaScript. A blank application shell means you should enable JavaScript. Or use a free courthouse or Utah State Law Library terminal. A loading failure is not proof that Millard County has no case. Remote access can be paid, while courthouse terminals give you another public channel.
Millard County Court Level Check
A failed lookup often comes down to court level. Search Fourth District Court for felonies, class A misdemeanors, ordinary civil suits, and probate. Domestic matters and other district jurisdiction belong there too. Search Justice Court for traffic, infractions, class B and C misdemeanors, ordinances, and small claims.
Location matters just as much. Millard County Justice Court operates in Fillmore and Delta. Delta City Justice Court and Fillmore City Justice Court also appear in official state or county channels. So a case tied to Delta may belong to a city, county, or district court. Use Xchange's county and court-location columns to make that distinction. Don't assume venue from a mailing address.
How to Search by Case Number
Type the number exactly as printed and pair it with the court location. Xchange says a case number is not unique statewide. The first two digits commonly represent the filing year, but no single universal Millard County pattern applies to every case. A real number can resemble YY-CODE-SEQUENCE, where the middle code identifies the case type and the remaining digits identify the case in that court.
Citation numbers are not unique statewide either. Add the citation location when you know it. If a Justice Court matter was bound over or transferred, read the proceeding and search the named destination court. A new district number may govern the later record.
Millard County Search Controls
The official Xchange help page lists controls in a set order. They run from jurisdiction through search type, case number, names, case type, scope, birth date, citation details, and the date panel. The page also separates search, payment, account, and help actions.

Use only details already known from a filing or notice. Birth date can narrow a criminal defendant match. But it should not be guessed or copied into notes meant for public sharing. The four date concepts are case filing, case disposition, judgment, and judgment disposition. Each is a separate filter.
What a Case Search Shows
A Millard County result row helps confirm identity before the history opens. The case detail can go much deeper. Parties, attorneys, charges, pleas, proceedings, judgments, document links, and accounting appear where applicable. Read the chronology rather than one status label.
| Case Number | The court identifier, verified with county and location. |
|---|---|
| Caption / Parties | The filed case title and public party roles. |
| Case Type | The Utah code for criminal, civil, domestic, probate, or another category. |
| Filing Date | The date the matter entered that court record. |
| Proceedings | A chronological list of hearings, filings, and administrative entries. |
| Status or Disposition | The recorded state or outcome, read with the orders and later entries. |
District court images have been public since July 1, 2010, and Xchange sells copies. A case history alone will not pull each image, though. Note that a printout or purchased image is not a certified copy from the clerk.
Millard County Case Type Codes
Case codes are search aids, not legal conclusions. Utah's official code list covers district, justice, and appellate types. Common categories help narrow a Millard County case lookup. But the assigned code should come from the actual record. The Utah Courts case-type reference is the current source for those labels.

Party codes matter too. PLA can mark a plaintiff, DEF a defendant, PET a petitioner, and RES a respondent. The code identifies a role in that case, not the result.
Millard County History Reading
The newest line is not always the whole answer. Xchange history can include hearings, filings, continuances, plea entries, judgments, and later orders. In a criminal matter, extended history may also show charges, level, attorneys, prosecution agency, citation details, accounting, and disposition fields.
Read proceedings in date order and compare related entries. "Case closed" does not explain which claim or charge ended, whether a balance remains, or whether a later order changed the result. Accounting is not a disposition either. When proof matters, identify the exact order and request it from the clerk rather than treating an online status line as a certified finding.
County vs Statewide Case Search
Millard County does not maintain a separate full public case-history portal that replaces Xchange. The statewide service can be narrowed to Millard County. It can also be narrowed to a court location. Local court pages and clerk contacts help in other ways. They route a search, confirm venue, and answer date or records questions.
| Utah Xchange | Millard Court Channel |
|---|---|
| Public district and justice case history statewide | Correct local court and location routing |
| Name, number, code, scope, and date fields | Phone or counter confirmation for a known matter |
| Paid remote access; free public terminals | Clerk request for a specific copy or older file |
| Public images where available | Certified records from the record custodian |
Need a Millard County clerk? The right one depends on which court holds the case. Marki Rowley serves as the county's contact for Fourth District Court clerk/manager business. Justice Court keeps its own clerks at Fillmore and Delta. Skip the shortcut of calling whichever office is closest. Go instead to the clerk whose court actually owns the docket you need.
Older Millard County Case Coverage
Xchange coverage starts at each court's conversion or connection date. So older dockets may simply be out of range. Fillmore District Court lists a connection date of March 2, 1998. Cases converted early sometimes carry less detail, and Justice Court conversion dates differ by location. The official Xchange coverage page spells out these historical limits court by court.

An older Millard County file can vanish from online results for reasons that have nothing to do with the case itself. If the docket search comes up empty, write down the court, the party names, the approximate date, and the case number if you have it. Then ask the right clerk directly or send a specific court-record request. Treat a blank result as a dead end for that search only, not as proof that no record exists.
Restricted Cases and Access Rules
Some Millard County records never appear in Xchange at all. Sealed adoption and civil commitment material, expunged cases, juvenile delinquency, child welfare, termination cases, and anything else classified as nonpublic stay off the system. Juvenile matters are heard through the Fourth District Juvenile Court office in Fillmore, and those files are not part of an ordinary public docket search.
Parties have a separate route. MyCourtCase is a free service for case parties, victims in criminal cases, and authorized account holders, and signing up takes identifying details, a case number, the court location, government identification, and a name matching the case. Inside, users can reach party papers, notices, balances, linked cases, and some filing tools. Never ask to use another person's credentials. Public access and party access are two different rights.
Millard County Documents and History
A Case History link opens the public chronology of a case. A Documents link flags which images Xchange offers. The official help notes that buying a document carries a charge no matter the page count. District images filed since July 1, 2010 may be viewable. But an older or nonpublic paper will not appear just because the case row does.
For a certified copy, a missing image, an older paper file, or one narrowly identified public order, ask the clerk. District files start with the Fourth District clerk/manager. Justice matters go to the Justice Court clerical operation at the location the case shows. eFiling, by contrast, exists for filing through approved providers rather than public case-history access.
When Millard Results Stay Blank
A blank result rarely means the case is gone. It can stem from the wrong court level, a spelling variation, an overbroad query, pre-coverage data, delayed entry, a restricted case, or even a JavaScript fault. Work the problem: search the filed spelling, confirm District versus Justice Court, narrow to Millard County and the right location, and test the exact case number.
Use the fallback chain. Try Xchange at a courthouse terminal, call the responsible clerk, or make a focused request for the public record.
For a hearing rather than full history, check the Millard County court dates and the latest notice.
A glitch is not a verdict. Before contacting the court, save the URL, the time, the number you entered, and the exact error. That short record helps staff tell a search problem from a location or system one.
